About
I am a lifelong learner with intense desire to know something “new” and this thirst for knowledge took me where I was, am now, and will be. I like learning -- because it’s fun. Every child is deserved to feel the same but if this is not happening, the issue is not with child. It’s with the system.
Any aspects of my life involve design. As a student-researcher I design my study (design research / else). As a language teacher I design my class. As an artist I design my app and photography works. As a mom of 2 I design their learning environment. As me I design my life. I believe nothing is perfect in my design – or any design – so we strive for it through iterations.
I’m based in Toronto, but my thoughts are always with people in Japan where I spent all of my childhood. In any parts of the world, reading, designing, and nature are three things that give me tranquility, and I deeply care how my children and students explore their own interests.
This Site
I started my portfolio site to showcase my work in educational research, design, and development – both professional and personal projects. My goal is to provide educators, researchers, and parents with useful educational resources to apply to their own practices or parenting. If any of my work has supported you, your students, and your children, I would be happy to hear your experience through the contact form at the bottom.
